My New Best Friends

I hear you. Yes, I hear you! After years of struggling with my hearing, I finally decided it was time to make my life easier and more fulfilling.

Following an eye-opening hearing test appointment which confirmed my hearing was getting worse, I came to the conclusion that it was time to hear the world around me more clearly.

So, I began my journey into researching the multitude of hearing aids available on the market. A side note: I was not a candidate for the new OTC (over the counter) hearing aids due to the severity of my hearing loss. In addition to the variety of aids available, it was important that I purchase from a company that offered superb customer service and product warranties. I made appointments and armed with my hearing test, visited several companies. Making the decision was not easy. The monetary cost was high, but I knew I was making an investment in me and my future well-being so I took the time necessary to make my decision.

I've now been wearing my hearing aids for a little over a month and my life has changed dramatically. I no longer have to ask people to repeat themselves or read lips (yes, I was getting very good at this). I can watch t.v. at a normal volume level. And my hearing aids are Bluetooth compatible so I can answer my phone, listen to music or podcasts directly through my hearing aids. The program/app is easy-to-use and I'm able to make necessary adjustments depending on the situation I'm in like a restaurant (background noise reduction) for example. At the end of the day, I put my aids in their charging case--no need for batteries, yeah!

I hear clearly and I'm a new person thanks to "My New Best Friends". If you've been putting off having your hearing tested or purchasing hearing aids, I encourage you to do yourself a huge favor and invest in yourself. Don't continue to struggle with the inability to hear. Help and solutions are available.
